Pre-terminated pipe freeze protection cables
Application
A simple method of preventing water from freezing in metal or plastic pipes up to 40mm diameter assuming a minimum ambient temperature of -20°C. The pipe, cable and built-in thermostat should be covered with 13mm flame-retardant insulation.
PGE cables cannot be cut to length and must not be allowed to touch or cross.

- Pre-terminated with 2m 3 core cold lead
- Built-in in-line thermostat energises the cable when temperatures fall below 3°C

- Aluminium tape to be installed under the heating cable when applying to plastic pipes. The tape comes in a 45m roll and will dissipate the heat over the surface of the pipe Ref. AL-50
