Pre-terminated pipe freeze protection cables

Application

A simple method of preventing water from freezing in metal or plastic pipes up to 40mm diameter assuming a minimum ambient temperature of -20°C. The pipe, cable and built-in thermostat should be covered with 13mm flame-retardant insulation.

PGE cables cannot be cut to length and must not be allowed to touch or cross.

Options

  • Aluminium tape to be installed under the heating cable when applying to plastic pipes.  The tape comes in a 45m roll and will dissipate the heat over the surface of the pipe Ref. AL-50
  • Pack of 10 caution labels to be fitted to the outer cladding to warn of the presence of heating cable.  Ref. 0010-007
