20,000 pew heaters sold!

Written by: George Evans

When we launched BN Thermic way back in 2005, one of our objectives was to have a viable solution for just about every commercial and industrial heating application.  I was particularly keen to offer products perfectly adapted to heating churches.  Consulting with our customers, we identified the following key requirements for a church heating solution.

  • Minimal visual impact
  • Zero noise output
  • Maximum economy

To meet these requirements, we introduced our BLC range of pew heaters designed specifically for church heating.

BLC pew heaters have a dark brown paint finish and are  mounted directly under a pew seat making them barely visible.  Heat is provided by silent, natural convection meaning that the heaters will not in any way detract from the experience of attending a church service.

In most traditional churches, any attempt to provide conventional space heating is found to be prohibitively expensive.  Rather than trying to build up and maintain a body of warm air, BLC pew heaters heat people directly.  Pew heaters are fully effective within a few minutes of being switched on, keeping warm up times to a minimum and, to further improve economy, unoccupied pews do not require heating.

We all know that carrying out research and making detailed plans does not guarantee a successful product.  So, I was delighted when orders started to arrive along with very positive customer feedback.

Finally, when my sales team told me that pew heater sales had reached 20,000, I took this as the definitive endorsement of a product perfectly suited to the unique demands of church heating.
