Operation
A control box or a series of up to 10 control boxes is connected to a controller using a Cat5 data cable. Interconnection between control boxes is also by Cat5 data cable.
Halogen heaters are wired to the control box(es). The controller provides manual control of the halogen heaters enabling heat intensity to be adjusted.
The controller also has a built-in run-down timer that can be activated by an optional push button. Once the selected run-down period has elapsed, the heaters will be automatically switched off.
If required, a frost thermostat can be connected to each control box. This device will switch on the heaters if the air temperature drops to its set-point overriding the settings on the controller.
Controlling HN3-30 (3kW) Heaters each with 2 lamps
Each HC2 will control up to six heaters. The HC-C1 controller allows the heaters’ lamps to be switched individually meaning that outputs of 1.5kW or 3kW can be selected.
For larger installations up to 10 control boxes can be connected in a control daisy-chain with each controlling up to six heaters.
Note: this system cannot be used with linear heaters.
Controlling HN3-45 (4.5kW) or HN3-60 (6kW) Heaters each with 3 lamps
Each HC3 will control up to four heaters. The HC-C1 controller allows the heaters’ lamps to be switched individually meaning that outputs of ⅓, ⅔ or full power can be selected.
For larger installations up to 10 control boxes can be connected in a control daisy-chain with each controlling up to four heaters.
