|Model||kW||Volts||Built-in Thermostat||List Price|
Each heater can be controlled by one wall-mounted controller and/or one thermostat.
Do not use room thermostat with ‘T’ suffix models as these heaters already have a built-in thermostat.
6kW and 9kW heaters have a built-in relay meaning that the minimum switching capacity of a suitable thermostat is reduced to 6kW (10A) and 9kW (3A)
|Switch||On/off/high heat/low heat||CS-7||£80.00|
|Thermostat||Electronic programmable thermostat with optimum start function 6A||PROSTAT2||£103.00|
|Thermostat||Electronic programmable thermostat with optimum start and open window detection functions 16A||RT16||£116.00|
|Thermostat||As RT16 except 26A||RT26||£135.00|
|Thermostat||Mechanical thermostat 20A||RST2-IN||£96.00|
|Thermostat||Mechanical thermostat – tamperproof 20A||RST-TP||£104.00|
A contactor can be used to enable a thermostat or timer to switch a load larger than its switching capacity.

The 800 series can be used for two distinctly different applications: as an overdoor heater or as a general space heater.
Select a heater to suit the door width.
Generally overdoor heaters are selected without a built-in thermostat although this feature can be useful to prevent an excessively high air temperature when the heater is installed in a confined space such as the area between two sets of doors.
In simple terms the output of the 800 series heater or heaters must be greater than the heat losses from the building during periods of cold weather. A small amount of heat is lost through the walls, ceilings and floors with more significant losses through windows and doors.
To estimate the heat loss from your building you may like to use our heat calculation toolHeat Calculator
9kW over door heaters are often used in hotel foyer and office reception areas
The estimated heat loss figure is the absolute minimum kW output that you should consider installing. We would suggest adding approximately 50% to this figure to allow for an acceptable warm up time in cold conditions as well as making allowances for exceptional weather conditions and possible errors in the original data used in the estimate.
Having established the minimum kW output required, select the minimum number of heaters needed to meet the kW requirement.
